Recruitment Scams Information

It has come to our attention that individuals and/or organizations have been falsely using Touchstone’s name to give employment offers and/or to request money or personal information.  Touchstone does not use recruiting or placement firms or agencies that charge candidates a fee of any kind, including but not limited to placement fees or immigration processing fees. Although we do at times work with search firms or recruitment agencies to find potential candidates for specific positions at our own expense, at no point in the recruiting process would an applicant be asked to pay a fee. In addition, offers of employment would never be made by Touchstone before a personal interview was held by members of Touchstone’s Human Resources and leadership.

Here are some warning signs that may indicate fraud and/or a recruitment scam:

  • Unsolicited emails to you from a free email service such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Wildblue.net, etc. and/or messages to you from social media accounts such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
  • A request for personal, financial or banking information or passport or visa information, or a request to pay any fees
  • Poor grammar or spelling used in correspondence to you
